THOMAS FOURNIER Thomas Fournier has played on different tours for several years and is now a member of the Alps Tour. Thomas has the belief he has the skill to make the European tour but has been let down by his putting. How we set about the improvement: -
2. Increase the width of the stance in order to maintain a solid position and rotation of the putter face – square at impact. 3. Solid position to allow a neutral path of the putter – natural arch. 4. Correct ball position. Left of centre and under the left eye to encourage an upward movement of the putter face through impact. 5. Use of the ‘V’ Easy training aid to help develop better feel and connection with the upper torso 6. Improve the grip on the putter, hands and thumbs level so that the forearms were in a neutral position. With the above matters worked on and explained the stroke strongly improved. The solid stance was enabling a good putter path and impact to be more solid and consistent as a result of less movement of the body. Well done Thomas, a fantastic result in our first tournament working together!
