professional students

GB’s pledge to my Professional students:
‘I understand that you are putting your trust in me.  It is your livelihood, your career and i respect you for that.  Everything we do, working together as a team, will be done in a professional manner; encouraging you, supporting you and allowing you to perform to the best of your ability whenever you engage in any tournament.  I will pass on my expertise and knowledge so that you will be able to understand the fundamentals of putting excellence, that you understand the basic technical issues which will allow you to become a player who will develop true instinctive feel and thus perform beyond your expectations.  This is my promise to you’.

Our relationship

My aim is make you the putter you have always wanted to be.  To allow you the presence of mind to stand up and make a putt knowing it will be going in the hole, to get you excited about reaching the green.  To make every player you play alongside want to putt as well as you do!

We will work together to find the right way for you, to ensure that you understand where we aim to be.  The initial meeting and discussion will be to analysis where you are and where you will be.  The assessment and improvement sessions will be conducted in a simple manner and an easy to follow agenda.

Once we have finished ‘for the day’ there will be a reflection period for you to practice and to make sure you understand how to take it from the putting studio to the tournament.

During the season we will arrange to meet and to ensure you are happy with your performance and that we can analyse what is happening.  It is better to keep you serviced rather than wait till its broken!

The intentions

We will be a team long term, as long as we are both making the effort to improve and keep developing, to reach our desired goals and ambitions, to win events, to make the next step on the ladder.

How

Importantly, we start with an assessment of your putting, where you are at present and where you need to be to be successful.  We will start by assessing your stroke, your mental relationship with your putting stroke, set up and other elements that are evident.  The assessment will be done via video, SAM Lab data and visual feedback.

Where

To get the best out of our time together it needs to be in a controlled environment.  However, there will be times when my first contact with my student will not allow that, at an event or away from the base.  All efforts will be made to ensure that the fundamentals of the assessment are gathered and that we can establish how we get the improvements, it is not a quick fix, it is long term development.

When & Why

Golf Students PuttingThe time is to suit you.  However, the more you put it off then the more the professional player will not fulfil their true potential.  Is this you?  Are you sure you can do better?  Speak to an expert and stop listening to idol gossip and get yourself sorted!  Why keep struggling when i have the answers.

So, all you have to do is ask.  I am looking forward to seeing you very soon.

TOUR FOCUS

Tour Focus is formed within the GB group to ensure that the professional player is supported through their ascension through the ranks.  It was felt that there are many players out there that need that extra little support to make the grade.  Not a management, but a support in coaching, advice and the first step to assuring success.

The plan is via the pyramid system as below: -
